From Dinner Conversations to a Global Stage: The Genesis of the Printed World Conference

The Printed World Conference wasn't born in a boardroom, but rather over plates of delicious food and passionate conversations. Back in 2022, creators Janos and Prash, recognizing the need for a dedicated space for 3D printing enthusiasts to connect and exchange ideas during Formnext, decided to take action.

Joined by Adrian (aka Marsgizmo), they reached out to some of the biggest names in the 3D printing community and organized an informal dinner in Frankfurt. Nearly 20 creators gathered for an evening of camaraderie and insightful discussions. The highlight? None other than Josef Prusa, CEO of Prusa Research, joined the gathering, adding to the already electric atmosphere.

The energy and enthusiasm of that first meeting were undeniable. It was clear this wasn't a one-off event; it was the start of something special. The following year, the dinner tradition continued, further solidifying the bonds within the community.

But this passionate group wanted to do more. They envisioned a larger platform, a dedicated event where creators could come together, learn, and inspire each other. And so, the idea for the Printed World Conference was born.

This exciting new conference, taking place in Amsterdam on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025, is built by creators, for creators. It promises to be a unique event packed with valuable insights, workshops, and networking opportunities, designed to empower attendees and drive the future of 3D printing. We can't wait to see you there!
